KFC Little Migratory Birds Fund,Empowering "Little Migratory Birds" for comprehensive development, accompanying growth with love
KFC China, in partnership with the China Children and Teenagers' Fund, initiated the KFC Little Migratory Birds Fund in 2016 to care for left-behind/migratory children, offering emotional support and nurturing activities such as reading, sports, and arts programs nationwide. By 2023, the KFC Little Migratory Birds Fund accurately recognized the emerging needs of children and families in the new era, expanding its care from left-behind/migratory children to a broader group of "urban-rural disadvantaged children," with a focus on supporting key areas of rural revitalization and helping more children in need grow up healthy.
★ 35 million+: KFC has already donated over 35 million RMB to the Little Migratory Birds Fund, aiming to support the happy growth of left-behind children.
★ 5.5 million+: Since its establishment, the Little Migratory Birds Fund has benefited over 5.5 million left-behind/migratory children.
★ 2000+: Currently, there are over 2000 book corners in communities and schools where left-behind/migratory children gather in 27 provinces. The project has donated over one million high-quality children's books and organized more than 45,000 reading sessions.
★ KFC Mom Restaurant's for Little Migratory Birds: To enable more mothers of little migratory birds to find jobs in their hometowns and have the opportunity to stay with their children, KFC, leveraging its scale advantage, innovated the KFC Mom Restaurant's for Little Migratory Birds model in 2017. It prioritizes employment opportunities, flexible schedules, and welfare benefits for returning "little migratory bird" parents, creating a better growth environment for left-behind "little migratory birds."
